As the days grow shorter and colder, many of us find ourselves struggling with a case of the winter blues. It’s a common condition, with symptoms ranging from fatigue and mood swings to difficulty sleeping and a lack of motivation. But this year, I’m determined to beat the winter blues before they even begin. How? By taking advantage of the summer months and creating a plan to stay happy and healthy all year round.

In this article, I’ll share my strategy for combating winter depression, including tips on how to stay active, eat well, and maintain good mental health throughout the summer. So let’s get started!

Getting Outside and Staying Active

One of the most important things we can do to prevent winter depression is to stay active and get plenty of sunlight. That’s why my first strategy for beating the winter blues involves spending as much time outside as possible. Whether it’s hiking in the mountains, swimming in the ocean, or just taking a walk around the block, I plan to get out and enjoy the natural world as much as possible this summer.
